Breast lift with implants

How much does breast reconstruction cost? | Houston, TexasBreast implants with lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to elevate the position of breasts, while enhancing their fullness and volume. The combined procedure is more cost-effective compared to a situation where both breast augmentation and breast lift are performed separately at different times.

During the initial consultation, your surgeon will discuss various aspects of the procedure, including its estimated costs. A responsible surgeon will try to ensure you have clear and accurate information about the costs, so that you can make a well-considered decision.

Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding locations.

Factors Influencing the Cost

The costs of breast augmentation with lift plastic surgery will vary from one practice to another, and may even vary from one patient to another at the same practice in some cases. The following key factors will impact the overall cost of your combined breast surgery.

Location Factor

Where the practice is located will impact the overall cost of breast lift with implants surgery. The cost of living in prime urban centers and cities around the coastal regions is typically higher than the costs in smaller towns and interior regions. Employment rates, median household incomes, real estate costs, and local taxation can vary between two cities, which will have an impact on the average costs of all types of products and services, including cosmetic procedures.

Anesthesia and Surgical Room Costs

Breast augmentation with lift plastic surgery will be performed using general anesthesia. An anesthesiologist or a registered anesthetist nurse will perform the anesthesia. Their fee can vary according to their skills and qualifications. The procedure may be performed at a hospital, an accredited surgical center, or a private surgical suite. The costs and benefits in each case will vary.

Fee Charged by the Cosmetic Surgeon

The surgeon may charge a fee for your breast lift with implants according to their qualifications, experience and track record in performing breast procedures. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) recommends that patients should choose the best surgeon for their needs, and elements such as the surgeon’s fee should only be secondary considerations to such a decision.

Breast Implants and Other Costs

Your breast lift with augmentation cosmetic surgery will involve the placement of breast implants. The cost of the latest qualities in ultra cohesive gummy bear implants could be slightly higher than the cost of conventional silicone or saline implants. The size, shape, and texture of the implants may also make a difference to the monetary amount

You should also consider additional cost components such as the costs of pre- and post-operative medical tests, mammograms, prescription medications, surgical bra, and any other surgery or recovery related expenses.

These costs may appear small at the outset, but they can combine to form a significant amount at the end. Therefore, you should account for them at an early stage when you planning your budget for the breast lift with augmentation surgery.

Breast Lift with Implant Surgery

Breast augmentation with lift is a transformative cosmetic surgery that can create exciting results for your overall body appearance and personality. While the skill and experience of your surgeon will play a key role in the success of your procedure, how well you follow the surgeon’s instructions for post-operative recovery will also make a difference to your results.

Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.

Recovery Timeline

You should take it easy in the first few days, and confine yourself to home at least for the first week. Your surgeon will encourage you to perform short walks and light activities at home after the first two to three days so that the blood flow to your incision areas can improve. They will also prescribe some mild pain medications to keep you comfortable in the first few days.

Most of your bruising in the incision sites will resolve by the second week, but the swelling is likely to disappear very gradually over several weeks or months. In about 10 to 14 days after your surgery, you can go back to your normal routine or join back at the workplace.

However, you should continue to avoid heavy lifting of weights, bending, and doing vigorous activities or exercises for at least four to six weeks. In the first month, you will probably be using a special surgical bra provided by your surgeon. This will provide extra support to your breast tissue until it firms up and acquires its final shape.

What to Expect

Some degree of numbness or altered sensation is expected in your incision areas, and particularly in the nipples and areolas. This will resolve slowly on its own in most cases. If you experience some stinging sensation initially in these areas, it is normal and expected.

Your surgeon may suggest you to have massage therapy in the breast area during your recovery phase. But this must be done only under the supervision or guidance of a trained therapist. Your temporary drains and sutures may be removed in about a week to 10 days after your surgery.

Swelling will be more pronounced in the first two weeks, but will gradually subside and you can notice the actual results of your breast lift with implants plastic surgery with the passage of weeks. In the first few weeks, the scars will appear red and lumpy. But they will progressively lighten, and in about six months to a year, the scarring will be reduced to thin, white lines.

Tips for Safer Recovery

Avoid sleeping on your abdomen or sides for the first few weeks, until the healing has significantly improved. Even at the end of the first month, if your surgeon allows you to resume your exercise and fitness regimen, you may continue to avoid specific activities such as tennis or golf that may put excessive strain on the chest.

Refrain from smoking during the recovery phase for as long as your surgeon advises it. Female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for breast lift with implants surgery.

Breast Lift Surgery With Implants

Breast implants with lift cosmetic surgery is aimed at providing you with a larger breast size as well as a tighter and lifted breast silhouette. You may be a suitable candidate for this procedure if you are worried about your loss of breast volume as well as sagging breasts with nipples pointing downwards.

Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding locations.

What is Breast Augmentation?

Breast augmentation is a popular plastic surgery, which involves placement of saline or silicone implants in your breast tissue to enlarge the size of breasts. This procedure is ideal as a single surgery if your breast skin elasticity is fairly good, and your breasts can accommodate the implants without making the skin stretch too much, or without the breasts drooping downwards.

What is a Breast Lift?

If aging, pregnancy or weight loss has caused your breasts to sag, while the breast volume and fullness is still fairly good, you may correct this condition with a breast lift surgery. This procedure can create tighter, firmer and perkier breasts, but it will not increase their size. Your surgeon will recommend the appropriate incision technique to perform your breast lift according to the amount of loose skin that needs to be removed.

Need for Breast Augmentation with Lift Surgery

A combined breast lift with implants plastic surgery may be the right choice for you if you are looking to improve the breast shape as well as enhance their size. If you are already planning to go ahead with either breast implants surgery or breast lift surgery, it makes sense to discuss with your surgeon if you are a candidate for a combined procedure.

The combined surgery will not significantly alter your procedure risk profile or your recovery time, but it can produce dramatically enhanced results. Your surgeon will perform the combined procedure using general anesthesia, and your total time inside the operating room may be about two to three hours. You can expect to return home the same day after your combined surgery.

Procedure

After you are placed under general anesthesia, your surgeon will begin the procedure by placing an incision around your areolas or under the breast fold. Through this incision, they will perform breast augmentation by placing the saline or silicone implants under your chest muscle.

Once the implants have been placed into the surgical pockets created to accommodate them, the surgeon will create another incision that goes down vertically from the lower part of the areola to the breast crease. Through this incision, they will excise your loose breast skin and tighten the tissue to create firmer and lifted breasts.

Depending on the situation, your surgeon may also decide to resize and reposition the areolas to a raised, more youthful position. Once the surgery is completed, they will carefully close the wounds with dissolvable or removal sutures and wrap your breasts in bandages.

Breast lift surgery with implants

Aging, gravitational effects, pregnancy, and weight fluctuations can cause loss of breast volume along with increased skin laxity in the breasts. This will result in deflated and sagging breasts that tend to lose their shape. Breast implants with lift cosmetic surgery is a proven procedure to correct these conditions.

At the time of your pre-operative consultation, your surgeon will explain the advantages and limitations of this combined surgery so that you can make a well-considered choice. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.

Combined Surgery – Pros

When breast augmentation and breast lift are performed together, it effective becomes one plastic surgery rather than two individual procedures. Undergoing a combined procedure at one time instead of two separate surgeries offers specific advantages, if your surgeon has determined that you are an acceptable candidate for it.

With a combined procedure, you will only go through the surgical procedure once, and get exposed to general anesthesia also just once. Each time you undergo a surgery or general anesthesia, you will face the risks that are inherent to these procedures. Clearly, when you undergo these procedures only once and not twice, your risk is halved.

With a combined procedure, you will have to invest time and effort in pre-surgical preparation just one time. Similarly, your post-surgical recovery process will also occur just once, which means you only take time off from your regular routine once for the recovery. Your post-op bruising, swelling, pain, discomfort, and post-op appointments will also occur only once.

Perhaps the most important benefit is that with a combined breast augmentation with lift plastic surgery, your surgeon will be better placed to create more effective results. They can ensure that both the breast tissue lifting and implant placement are performed using common incisions.

The optimal amount of excess skin removal can be determined and the right implant size can be chosen when your surgeon creates a plan for the combined procedure. Your procedure will also become more cost-effective as the various cost components associated with your procedure will be incurred only once.

Combined Surgery – Cons

Although your surgeon can create a more effective and customized surgical plan for breast lift with implants surgery, the combined procedure is going to be more invasive than one surgery. As a result, your recovery could be slightly longer.

The overall cost-effective is better with a combined procedure compared to two procedures performed separately, but the upfront price of a breast implants with lift surgery is likely to be higher than a single procedure.

You should also remember that even with a combined surgery, your risk of implant failure due to unforeseen factors such as capsular contracture does not change.

Looking at these issues, it is best to choose an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon for your breast lift with augmentation surgery so that you can achieve safe and predictable outcomes and enjoy the results of your procedure for a long time to come.

Breast lift surgery with implants

Breast implants with lift cosmetic surgery is designed to correct drooping breasts while adding fullness and shape to the breasts. When breast lift and breast augmentation are combined, the procedure can create enhanced breast contours and ideal proportions by raising the breasts to a more youthful level, while placing silicone or saline implants to increase their size.

At the time of your initial consultation, your surgeon will discuss your best options for breast lift surgery technique and the implant type, size, and placement. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides breast lift with implants surgery to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding locations.

Candidacy

If you are seeking to enhance your breast size and fullness, but your breasts also have a considerable degree of ptosis (sagginess), you may be a candidate for breast augmentation with lift plastic surgery. This procedure can be ideally suited if you are looking to:

If you are seeking a mommy makeover, this combined breast procedure could be a part of your surgery plan. In some cases, it may also be recommended for mastectomy patients who are looking for breast reconstruction.

Procedure

A breast implants with lift surgery is performed on an outpatient basis, usually under general anesthesia. Your surgeon may first place the implants by creating an implant pocket in the breast tissue. This will give them an idea of how much of the loose breast will need to be excised during the second stage of the procedure, which is the breast lift.

Once the implants are positioned correctly into the pockets, your surgeon will utilize the same incisions or create an additional incision to perform breast lift. This will involve removal and tightening of the excess breast tissue, while elevating the breasts to a more youthful position.

The areolas and nipples may be resized and moved to a more natural looking, raised level to create an overall attractive and younger look of your breasts.

Benefits

Results of the breast lift with implants surgery are more comprehensive compared to a single breast augmentation or breast lift surgery. Your surgeon will have the flexibility to plan your procedure more effective and optimize the outcomes when both surgeries are combined into one.

They will be able to utilize the same incisions for both procedures, and possibly reduce the incision size for breast lift if the ptosis is limited. You can expect more proportionate and natural looking results with the combined procedure.

Recovery

Mild tightness and soreness in the breasts is expected in the first few days after your breast implants with lift surgery. Your surgeon will prescribe you pain drugs to keep you comfortable. By the second week, much of the bruising would have resolved, and you can resume your regular activities. However, you should continue to avoid strenuous exercises for at least a month.

How often do you need to replace breast implants? | Houston SurgeryBreast augmentation cosmetic surgery results are expected to last for a very long time, but not forever. Patients often report that their implants have lasted for 15 or 20 years or even longer, and even the implant manufacturers are willing to offer a lifetime warranty on the implants. However, you should be aware that implant failure can occur at any point of time after your breast augmentation.

Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for the breast, body and face to patients in Houston, Texas and surrounding locations.

How Long Will Your Breast Implants Last?

Whether you have had your breast implant surgery a month or a decade ago, if you experience any discomfort or another concern about your implants, you should visit your plastic surgeon. This goes for health related as well as cosmetic issues, no matter how small or big.

Eventually, your breast implants will probably have to be removed or replaced, even if you have had them for years or decades. After the first 10 years, the risk of implant failure could increase. It is also necessary to understand that your breast implants cannot stop the progressive effects of aging.

Your body and breasts will undergo changes with age. Weight fluctuations, pregnancy, breastfeeding, hormonal changes, gravity, and the natural aging forces will affect your breast tissue. With the passage of years, your implants may not feel or look quite the way they did at the time of primary breast augmentation plastic surgery.

Having said that, you should feel reassured that in a vast majority of cases, the breast implants will not have to be removed or replaced for at least 10 to 20 years. Quality of implants and innovations in surgical techniques over the years has increased the longevity of breast augmentation results.

When should You Get Your Implants Checked?

If you are using saline implants, you will know about an implant rupture on your own within 24 to 48 hours. The saline solution will leak out, causing the implant to deflate. It will become noticeable from outside as the shape of the breast will visibly change. Saline leakage poses no risk to your health because it is fully biocompatible. But for aesthetic reasons, you will need to have your saline implants removed or replaced.

In case of silicone implants, the FDA advises you to have them screened through an MRI three years following your breast augmentation surgery, and every two years after that. An MRI can detect whether the silicone implant has suffered a silent rupture. This is important because silicone gel is highly cohesive, and may stay intact in the implant shell. As a result, you will not notice a change in the breast shape from outside.

But silicone implant removal or replacement is vital in case of an implant rupture because silicone gel leakage could present some degree of risk to your health. Female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas and nearby areas for dependable and proven surgical and non-surgical procedures.

What is included in mommy makeover surgery? | Houston, TexasA woman’s body can take a significant physical toll during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. There is a growing trend among moms to seek cosmetic surgery procedures to restore their pre-pregnancy figure. A mommy makeover is one of the most comprehensive cosmetic surgery procedures for women who want to restore their pre-pregnancy figure.

It usually combines multiple aesthetic procedures to achieve an enhanced physical appearance in several areas of the body. During the initial consultation, the surgeon will discuss various procedures that may be included as a part of a mommy makeover.

Based on the patient’s personal aesthetic goals and her anatomical needs, the surgeon will create a customized mommy makeover surgery plan. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides mommy makeover to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.

Key Procedures

Some of the major procedures that are typically included in a mommy makeover plastic surgery are described as below:

Breast Augmentation

If the woman’s breasts have deflated or lost volume following a pregnancy and breastfeeding, she may require breast augmentation as part of a mommy makeover. This will involve surgical insertion of saline or silicone implants to increase the size of the breasts as desired.

Breast Lift

If the pregnancy and breastfeeding has resulted in overstretching of the breast skin and consequent sagging of breasts, the surgeon may recommend breast lift. The procedure will involve excision of loose skin from the breasts to restore tighter and perkier breasts.

Breast Reduction

In some cases, the woman may develop oversized breasts following pregnancy and breastfeeding. To make the breasts proportionate to the rest of the body, breast reduction cosmetic surgery may be performed as part of mommy makeover.

Liposuction

Liposuction is one of the common body contouring procedures that is included in mommy makeover. The procedure is designed to reduce excess fat tissue from specific fat pockets in the hips, thighs, abdomen, flanks, upper arms, breasts, or other areas.

Tummy Tuck

The abdomen will typically take the maximum toll in a pregnancy. A woman may choose tummy tuck surgery as a part of mommy makeover to restore tighter, firmer and flatter abdomen. Stretch marks may also be reduced in some cases when tummy tuck is performed.

Body Lift

Lower body lift surgery can be performed to tighten loose skin in areas such as the buttocks and thighs. Thigh lift and Brazilian butt lift are two of the popular procedures that may be performed as part of a mommy makeover surgery.

Non-Surgical Procedures

The surgeon may sometimes recommend a combination of plastic surgery and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Laser, RF or ultrasound based treatments are more popular because these can produce desirable results in a less invasive manner. Cellulite reduction may also be performed as part of mommy makeover using non-invasive techniques.

Recovery

Recovery period after a mommy makeover surgery will depend on the number of procedures and the extent of surgery performed. Most women will go through a downtime of one to two weeks, after which they can resume normal activity. Strenuous exercises should be avoided for at least one month.
