Pregnancy and childbirth is an incomparable experience for a woman, but it can take a toll on her body in aesthetic terms. Many mothers today want to restore their pre-pregnancy figure after they have had children, and do not have plans for a future pregnancy. Mommy makeover cosmetic surgery procedure can be an ideal procedure for such women who wish to have substantial cosmetic correction in more than one area.
One of the benefits with mommy makeover surgery is that the procedure can be customized to match with the unique needs of a patient. Some women may only require a limited enhancement in one or two areas, while some others may choose to have extensive surgical correction in multiple areas.
Fat reduction, skin tightening, stretch marks and cellulite reduction are commonly included as part of a mommy makeover. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides this procedure to patients in Houston, Texas and surrounding communities.
Women who give natural birth or undergo a C-section can make equally good candidates for a mommy makeover plastic surgery. As a first pre-requisite, the woman should be in suitable overall health and fit enough to go through a major surgical procedure such as mommy makeover, which will also involve a significant recovery process.
Mothers who want to reverse the cosmetic effects of pregnancy, and regain more attractive and youthful body contours, tighter and smoother skin, and mitigation of stretch marks, cellulite and scars, can be suitable candidates for a mommy makeover. The candidate should ideally have a moderate and stable body weight and be committed to maintaining an active and balanced lifestyle following the surgery for prolonged benefits.
In most cases, the mommy makeover procedure will be performed using general anesthesia or IV sedation. The length and complexity of the surgery can vary, but it is usually performed as an outpatient procedure. The surgeon will tailor the procedure to suit the specific needs of the patient, and strive to achieve maximum effect in a minimally invasive manner.
Experienced surgeons will usually manage to perform a mommy makeover using less invasive techniques in order to ensure a shorter recovery, reduced post-surgical discomfort, and less obvious scarring. Sometimes innovative non-invasive treatments may be performed in conjunction with plastic surgery procedures to achieve more desirable outcomes.
A mommy makeover will typically include one or more of the following procedures:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding may cause loss of breast volume in some women. This condition can be reversed with breast augmentation surgery. Some other women may develop sagging breasts and loose abdominal skin due to overstretching of the skin during pregnancy. In such cases, a tummy tuck surgery and breast lift with or without implants may be recommended.
If the woman’s breasts have become excessively large following the pregnancy, a breast reduction surgery may be performed. Liposuction fat reduction procedure is often included as a part of a mommy makeover to enhance body contours in a targeted manner in certain areas of the body. Focused female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas and nearby areas for mommy makeover surgery.

Labiaplasty emerged as the second fastest growing cosmetic surgery procedure in the US in 2013, with 44 percent more surgeries performed than the previous year. Women are increasingly open to the idea of enhancing their sexual aesthetics and are willing to explore the possibility of vaginal tightening and rejuvenation procedures such as labiaplasty.
Dr. Kristi Hustak is a board certified female plastic surgeon providing labiaplasty and various other cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Hustak will educate her patients about labiaplasty and help them to make a well-considered choice. She provides labiaplasty to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
Labiaplasty is a plastic surgery procedure involving enhancement of both the labia minora or the inner vaginal lips and the labia majora or the outer vaginal lips. Many women only require labia minora correction through this surgery.
Women should know that there is no standard appearance of the labia, which may be termed as normal. Each woman’s sexual anatomy is unique, and they have personal aesthetic and health needs that should be assessed individually by the labiaplasty surgeon.
Women typically seek labia minora or majora reduction for one or more of the following reasons:
Labia minora or major reduction procedure can be performed using a local anesthetic in the surgeon’s office as a minor procedure. In some cases, it may require general anesthesia, which can be performed at a surgery center or a hospital, often in conjunction with other procedures. Labiaplasty procedure is usually completed in about 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the number of procedures and the complexity.
In case local anesthesia, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the targeted and left for a while for the anesthetic to take effect. Discreet incisions will be placed in specific areas to perform the surgery. The surgeon will precisely trim away the excess skin and reshape the labia minora or majora or both to create a more youthful looking appearance of the labia.
Following the surgery, the incisions will be closed with absorbable sutures. The patient will be placed in disposable undergarments to absorb any drainage from the incision areas. She can usually return home the same day. Committed female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas and nearby areas for labiaplasty and various other surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures.
The patient will be kept on modified bed rest for five days. For about three weeks, she will have to refrain from performing any vigorous activities or heavy lifting of weights. Intercourse must be avoided for six weeks. Initial discomfort will improve from the second week with rest and medications. Most patients can return to their workplace or resume normal routine in the second or third week.

SilkPeel is rapidly emerging as one of the sought after skin rejuvenation procedures for people who want to avoid cosmetic surgery. During the initial consultation, the treatment expert will discuss various aspects of SilkPeel, and may also provide SilkPeel before and after photographs.
The first concern of a committed provider will be to provide transparent information about SilkPeel and help the patient make a well-considered decision. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides SilkPeel to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
Before and after pictures in case of SilkPeel treatment refer to a pair or group of images pertaining to a previous patient who received the same procedure with a satisfying outcome. The pictures include photographs taken prior to the procedure and after the procedure at a time when all treatment sessions of SilkPeel are over and full effects of the treatment have been established.
Just as in the case of a plastic surgery procedure, the treatment provider will take care to ensure that SilkPeel before and after photos are obtained with proper consent of the patient and shown to new patients in a discreet way. The sole purpose behind this exercise is to familiarize new patients with the expected results of SilkPeel and help them to make an informed choice.
When a new patient steps in the provider’s office to seek a SilkPeel treatment for skin rejuvenation, they may be unsure or apprehensive about how the procedure may react to their skin, what kind of aesthetic results it may deliver, and whether it is the right procedure to meet their personal cosmetic goals. Some patients may require SilkPeel only for the face, while others may need more extensive treatment in multiple areas of the body.
In all such situations, the treatment expert can better explain the procedure and enable the patient to make more effective decisions if SilkPeel before and after photos are made available beforehand. Experienced female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for SilkPeel.
Highest patient satisfaction rates in any cosmetic procedure are usually achieved when the patient has a positive mindset, clear aesthetic goals, and realistic expectations. Therefore, experienced providers prefer to present SilkPeel before and after photos at the very first appointment. Once the patient reviews these photos, they will know clearly what to expect and what not to expect from the treatment.
Such patients will usually be in a better position to appreciate the results and feel happy about their skin appearance. This simple effort also mitigates the risk of any misunderstanding or disappointment occurring for the patient at a later stage.
The treatment provider has the option to upload SilkPeel before and after photos on their practice website in a separate section titled “Gallery” or “Non Surgical Procedures”. New patients can simply access the photos online from the comfort and privacy of their home or office, and then decide whether they want to contact the provider for a personal SilkPeel consultation.
Innovation is awesome and digital technology has changed the landscape of this industry. Now, patients can infer and determine exactly what to expect with incredible website pictures. With the widespread availability of the Internet, the plastic surgery community, along with so many other industries, have made exquisite use of website pictures.
Now patients can see exactly what SilkPeel is and how it will look on their body. They know what they are paying for and if this procedure is what they want. The clarity of website pictures are amazing. Patients, in the present day, do not have to rely so much on the surgeon’s spoken description or some vague brochure. Since patients are more informed, they tend to be less anxious prior to the procedure. This is helpful for everyone.

In any aesthetic procedure, whether a cosmetic surgery or a non-surgical treatment, the sticker price is an important starting point for many patients. Therefore, a dedicated treatment provider will apprise the patient of the estimated costs, and help them to make an informed decision. SilkPeel is a highly innovative and completely non-invasive skin enhancement procedure.
At the time of initial consultation, the SilkPeel treatment expert will educate the patient about all aspects of the procedure, including its best possible dollar figure estimate. Dr. Kristi Hustak is a board certified female plastic surgeon providing SilkPeel and various other procedures to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
In comparison to many other non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment options as well as plastic surgery procedures, SilkPeel can prove to be more cost-effective. Surgeries are typically more expensive than SilkPeel because this non-invasive technique will avoid the costs of anesthesia, surgeon’s fee, surgical facility costs and other pre- and post-operative expenses.
Even when compared to non-surgical skin rejuvenation procedures such as laser, RF, or ultrasound techniques, SilkPeel is usually more affordable. While it is critical for a patient to compare costs with other alternative procedures, cost alone should not be a deciding factor while selecting a treatment. The SilkPeel provider will closely engage with the patient to help them make the most appropriate choices.
The monetary amount of SilkPeel skin rejuvenation can vary from one practice to another and also from one patient to another at the same practice in a few cases. Geographical factors will have an impact on the price because the average cost of living between two regions is likely to differ. This will influence the average cost of a majority of goods and services, including cosmetic procedures such as SilkPeel.
The quality standards and amenities at a particular practice, the expertise and experience of the SilkPeel treatment provider, and the kind of personalized care and attention offered at a practice can make a difference to the costs. The patient should choose a practice that feels right in all respects, and not just make a choice on the basis of the costs alone.
Most patients will require about four to six treatment sessions of SilkPeel in order to achieve best results. The extent of treatment may also vary depending on whether a single or multiple treatment areas are involved.
The cost may be charged on a per treatment basis, but patients who purchase a complete treatment series may be able to get a rebate. Marvelous and established female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for SilkPeel.
Although SilkPeel is an elective procedure, which will typically not be covered under the patient’s health insurance plan, but in a few cases of acne treatment, full or partial costs may be covered by the insurer. Most patients will be eligible to receive financing through professional medical care finance firms that offer low interest rates, quick loan approvals, and easy monthly installments of up to 60 months.

In recent years, a number of non-surgical skin enhancement procedures involving lasers, RF, ultrasound, and microdermabrasion techniques have gained popularity. These procedures are designed to serve as effective alternatives to cosmetic surgery, but some of these treatments can still be harsh on the patient’s skin and cause significant discomfort during treatment.
SilkPeel has emerged as an innovative diamond-assisted microdermabrasion procedure that completely avoids the typical challenges of an aggressive surgical or non-surgical skin rejuvenation technique, and still manages to create equally effective outcomes. Diamond Dermalinfusion SilkPeel procedure creates gentle exfoliation in the outer layers of the skin to reveal younger and healthier looking skin.
SilkPeel treatment is completely non-invasive and involves virtually no downtime or discomfort. The procedure is so gentle on the skin that it can even be used on patients who have sensitive skin. The treatment can be combined with the infusion of customized topical serums to achieve deeper and more sustainable outcomes in terms of volumized, smoother, and more radiant skin.
The typical risks involved in a plastic surgery procedure are entirely avoided with SilkPeel. Each treatment session can be completed in less than 30 minutes, and the patient can immediately resume their normal routine or go back to work after the treatment. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides SilkPeel to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.

Labiaplasty is a highly effective plastic surgery procedure designed to correct or enhance the size and shape of the labia. The procedure is usually applied to improve the appearance of the labia minora or the inner vaginal lips. In some cases, the surgeon may also use this surgery to correct the size and shape of the labia majora or the outer vaginal lips.
Typical sexual aesthetic concerns for women include elongated inner vaginal lips in comparison to the outer lips, or asymmetry between the labia majora and minora. In some cases, the woman may complain of difficulties in carrying out certain types of physical activities or exercises, or feel obstruction or pain during sexual intercourse, and may feel uncomfortable while wearing certain types of clothing. Labiaplasty can address all such conditions effectively.
Aging and other factors may cause the labia majora to lose volume or skin elasticity. This can result in aesthetic as well as functional issues. The surgeon may perform a fat grafting procedure to transfer the patient’s own tissue from a donor site to the labia majora. If the patient wants to avoid surgery, they may have the option of dermal filler injections to achieve the same outcomes.
Menopause or weight fluctuations in a woman may lead to a change in shape of the mons pubis area. The surgeon may perform fat grafting monsplasty or cosmetic filler injections to add volume to the area and improve its shape.
If the patient is bothered by fat accumulation in the mons pubis region, liposuction surgery may be performed. Experienced female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for sexual aesthetic treatments.
Clitoral hood reduction surgery can be used to remove redundant tissue overlying the clitoris. The surgeon will make a small incision to resect the loose tissue. In case of G-spot enhancement, the surgeon may use dermal filler injections to increase volume and tighten the skin for maximum sensitivity in the targeted erogenous area.
Cosmetic vaginoplasty is an advanced surgical procedure to create a tighter vaginal canal. The surgery will involve removal of the excessive vaginal lining, and may sometimes include tightening of the underlying weak vaginal muscles. Following childbirth, a woman’s vaginal canal muscles may become overstretched, which can be corrected with this surgery.

A comprehensive consultation process paves the way for a successful liposuction cosmetic surgery. The patient should be ready to engage actively during the consultation and pay attention to the surgeon’s description of the procedure, potential risks and complications, and the preparation required for the pre- and post-surgical phases.
The consultation provides the surgeon an opportunity to establish a strong rapport with the patient and create a relationship of trust and open communication.
The liposuction consultation will include discussion on the type of anesthesia to be used, the surgical venue, and the expected costs of the procedure. The surgeon will examine the patient and assess to their aesthetic goals and needs to determine their candidacy for liposuction. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides liposuction to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
During the consultation, the surgeon will evaluate the patient’s age, health, weight, and review their medical records to determine their risk factors for liposuction plastic surgery. The surgeon will ask about the patient’s history of smoking, and current smokers will be required to completely avoid smoking for a certain period of time before and after liposuction.
The patient should ideally prepare a list of medications that they may be currently taking, including prescription drugs, over the counter and recreational drugs, herbal supplements and vitamins. Transparency is important in these areas for the patient’s own safety and health. The patient should use the consultation opportunity to clarify all their doubts and concerns in order to make a well-considered decision.
Only the patient is in the best position to inform why they want to undergo liposuction surgery, and bulges in which particular areas bother them. This feedback will be used by the surgeon while preparing a customized liposuction surgery plan. The surgeon will provide liposuction before and after pictures during the consultation to help the patient to develop reasonable expectations.
Once the patient knows what the procedure can or cannot do for them, they will be in a better position to make the right decision. During the consultation, the patient may also show photos from magazines or websites to describe to the surgeon about the kind of body profile they are looking for. Experienced female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for liposuction.
Most patients will have a variety of questions about the surgeon’s training, experience and certifications, the surgical procedure, venue and anesthesia, preparation and recovery phases, and estimated costs of liposuction. They should prepare a list of questions that they want to ask during the consultation. A sterling surgeon will take the time to address all the questions in accurate details to enable the patient to make a well-considered decision.
The consultation is also an opportunity for the patient to ask for testimonials of past patients who have gone through liposuction with the surgeon. They request for a video of the procedure, if they want to know more about it. They may also interact with the staff members and take an office tour to familiarize themselves with the practice.

Over the years, liposuction has emerged as a relatively less invasive and safe cosmetic surgery involving only local anesthesia in many cases. However, certain risks remain intrinsic to liposuction, just like any other surgery.
A trained and experienced liposuction surgeon can minimize the risk for a committed patient. Board certified female plastic surgeon Dr. Kristi Hustak provides liposuction and other cosmetic and reconstructive procedures to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
Although complications in liposuction plastic surgery are uncommon, but it is important for the patient to be aware of all risks and complications in order to make an informed decision. The complications may include:
In extremely rare situations, severe complications may occur with liposuction. Cardiac arrhythmia, cardiac arrest, excessive bleeding, internal blood clotting, acute drug interactions, allergic reaction to anesthesia, seizures, permanent nerve damage or brain damage from general anesthesia.
The occurrence of these complications is highly unlikely with an experienced surgeon. Female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for liposuction.
There are some surgeons that may adopt an aggressive approach and perform too much liposuction in a single day, removing excessive amount of fat at once. This can create risks for the patient’s health and safety, and may also cause cosmetic issues such as dents, lumps, and sagging skin in the treated areas.
Where large amount of fat removal is necessary, the surgeon should schedule liposuction in phases, with a gap of several days between each phase. Experienced and terrific surgeons will never encourage overexposure to anesthesia or excessive fat reduction in a single day.
To begin with, the patient should take care to share clear and accurate information about their present and past health conditions, present full medical records, provide an exhaustive list of prescription and non-prescription medications, supplements, and vitamins, and disclose information about habits such as smoking, drinking, or drugs.
The surgeon should determine the patient’s candidacy carefully by examining their age, weight, general health condition, fitness, and lifestyle, and their reasons for seeking liposuction surgery. A few medical tests may be ordered in some cases to establish the candidate’s fitness for anesthesia and surgery.
Pre-operative preparation and post-operative care during recovery are vital components of the procedure, which will have an impact on the safety and health of the patient. The patient should have the commitment to diligently adhere to the surgeon’s instructions and guidelines.
The surgeon should choose less invasive liposuction techniques involving local anesthesia wherever possible. Laser, ultrasound, and RF technology as well as non-invasive fat reduction alternatives may be combined with liposuction to make it less invasive.

Liposuction is one of the more customizable cosmetic surgery procedures that may be performed independently or in conjunction with other body contouring surgeries. Laser, RF and ultrasound techniques have been introduced as part of different types of liposuction. However, the steps in liposuction procedure largely remain unchanged, irrespective of the technique used.
Dr. Kristi Hustak is a board certified female plastic surgeon providing liposuction and various other procedures for the breast, body, and face. During the initial consultation, Dr. Hustak will explain all about liposuction procedure and discuss the steps involved in it. Her first concern is to educate the patient about liposuction and help them to make an informed decision. She provides liposuction to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
Tumescent liposuction is the commonly used technique to perform liposuction plastic surgery. The advantage with this technique is that it avoids the need for general anesthesia, and can be performed only using lidocaine local anesthetic. Sometimes mild IV sedation may be used along with local anesthesia. If large amounts of fat tissue need to be removed from multiple areas, the surgeon may recommend general anesthesia.
The procedure will begin with the surgeonplacing small incisions in targeted sites. The size of the incision may range from a quarter to a third of an inch. Incisions are placed in inconspicuous locations to minimize visible scarring. Female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for liposuction surgery.
Through the incision, the surgeon will insert a thin vacuum tube called cannula to physically manipulate the stubborn fat tissue layers. When the cannula reaches the deep fat tissue, the surgeon will gently move it back and forth to manually dislodge the unwanted fat cells. As the fat gets broken down, it can be suctioned easily with a pump or syringe attached to the other end of the cannula.
The surgeon may decide to use targeted heat energy generated through laser, RF or ultrasound to liquefy the stubborn fat cells and make it easier to remove them. With gentle and controlled heat energy, the procedure can be made less invasive and more targeted. The patient will receive IV fluids during and after liposuction to make up for the loss of blood and bodily fluids that may take place during fat removal.
Following the completion of surgery, the incisions will be carefully closed with sutures. The surgeon may use dissolvable or removable sutures as appropriate. Drain tubes are usually placed below the skin in the incision areas for a few days to collect excess fluid. Drains and sutures may be removed in about seven to 10 days. In case of very small incisions, the surgeon may keep them open to minimize bruising and expedite healing.
Depending on the patient’s needs, the liposuction surgery may be performed in conjunction with other procedures such as tummy tuck, mommy makeover or body lift. The procedure steps will vary in such cases as per the customized surgical plan.

The most fundamental step in a cosmetic surgery procedure such as liposuction is to determine a patient’s candidacy. Until the patient is deemed fit and appropriate for liposuction, they cannot be cleared for this surgery. The surgeon will closely examine various aspects before recommending liposuction to the right candidate.
Dr. Kristi Hustak is a board certified female plastic surgeon providing liposuction and other body contouring procedures. During the initial consultation process, Dr. Hustak will evaluate the candidacy and give her best advice to a patient. She provides liposuction to patients in Houston, Texas, and surrounding communities.
A suitable candidate for liposuction plastic surgery procedure will be a healthy adult with stable body weight ranging within 25 pounds of their ideal weight, and who is unhappy with the stubborn fat pockets in certain areas of the body that do not respond to diet and exercise.
Candidates who want to undergo procedures such as tummy tuck, breast reduction, mommy makeover or body lift may also sometimes benefit from liposuction to achieve more targeted results.
The following people should avoid liposuction surgery:
In rare situations, the surgeon may approve the candidacy of a teen for liposuction surgery, particularly if they have undergone a major weight loss and are bothered by one or two lingering fat pockets. The teen’s health status, age, emotional makeup and self-esteem will be assessed to determine candidacy in such cases. Teen candidates may have self-esteem issues that can be addressed with a limited contour correction with liposuction.
Age limitations are not specifically outlined for liposuction, but the adult candidate should have a reasonably good level of health and fitness to sustain the surgery and anesthesia. Some candidates may have to undergo a few tests or consult with their physician to be more confident about their candidacy for liposuction.
An apparent degree of skin elasticity in the affected area must be present in order to achieve optimal results with liposuction. The patient should know that liposuction is not a skin tightening surgery, and only a fat reduction procedure. However, a candidate may be accepted if they are willing to combine liposuction with a body lift procedure to address skin laxity.
Skin laxity concerns are more pertinent for older patients seeking liposuction. Experienced female cosmetic surgeon Dr. Hustak receives patients from Houston, Texas, and nearby areas for liposuction surgery.
A decent candidate for liposuction will be realistic about the results. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, and will not remove wrinkles, cellulite or stretch marks. Only about 10 pounds of excess fat may be removed from a localized site.
